Ok, I see a lot of people asking questions about getting and installing tracks into MCM2, here are some tips :

Q. Where can I get new tracks? |
A. Tracks are available at many sites on the net. Go to the LINKS page on this website and you will find links to all the best download sites!
Q. Ok, I've found a site and it's full of tracks, can I download more than 1 at a time? |
A. Sure, no problem... There are a few programmes that let you download more than 1 file at a time. I use GETRIGHT which you can get from the LINKS page on this site, or by clicking here. It also resumes your file downloads, so if your connection gets broken during download, GETRIGHT will start again where it left off (on most servers).

Q. Unzipping tracks... what's that? |
A. Before you can install new tracks onto your system, you have to unzip them into the correct directory. WINZIP is great for this, if you haven't got winzip, go here and download the latest free version and install it on your computer. Then you're all set to install all those wunnerful tracks ! See bottom of this page for detailed instructions on UNZIPPING.

Q. Ok, I've got winzip .. now where do I unzip 'em too? |
A. You need to unzip the new track files into the correct directory on your HardDrive. Below are the correct directories to put 'em in : Nationals go to : C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\ Motocross Madness2\teraform\nationals. Assuming that your game is installed on your C drive and the path to your MCM2 is the same as above. If not, find your MCM2 (wherever it's installed) and install to the \teraform\nationals folder. Next time you launch your MCM2, the new track (s) will be there ! The same thing applies to all other types of track as below: SX go to \teraform\Sx folder Stunts go to \teraform\Quarries folder Baja go to \teraform\Baja folder Enduro go to \teraform\Enduro folder Tag go to \teraform\Tag folder

Q. But how do I unzip ? |
| OK, there are several ways
to do this. Here's probably the easiest:
Launch winzip (in classic mode) and do this: Click FILE... OPEN ARCHIVE A box opens... now look for the new track that you want to install (for example... ash.zip), select it and click OK. It will open in the winzip window. Click once on the file and then click on EXTRACT. (at the top of the winzip menu bar) Another window opens. In the FOLDERS/DRIVES window, find your \teraform\??? folder that you want to install to and select it. Click on EXTRACT and there ya go ! DONE! Repeat for all your other new tracks.
| Here is another method.
This is the way I do it.
Open windows explorer Find your /teraform/??? directory that you want to install the tracks to. (Expand (double-click) on the folders to see the next level inside them until you find the correct directory.) Make sure that you can see the correct teraform/??? folder on the left-hand side. On the left-hand side of explorer, now find the folder that you downloaded the new .zip track into, and click on that folder ONCE. You will now see your list of new tracks to install on the right-hand side.. Ok, use the vertical scroll-bar on the left window pane to make sure that you can see the /teraform\??? folder again. Here's the easy part... all you have to do now is double-click on the new track that you want to install and winzip will launch on it's own. Inside the winzip window will be the track. It'll say something like ash.env (or whatever the track is called). Now, just hold your left mouse button over that .env file and DRAG it into the correct \teraform\??? folder. Winzip will unzip it to that folder and BOOM .. there ya go again ! DONE :O) Do the same thing to all your other tracks. |
